Yamaha XJR 1300 Botafogo-N – Here’s another “special” made for the “Yamaha Yard Built” project. What you are seeing is the “Botafogo-N” created by the Dutch crew of the Numbnut Motorcycles.

The inspiration comes from the world of the four wheels and in particular from the Fiat Botafogo N-Typer Special 1917, a car that can reach 235 km/h and is fitted with a 6-cylinder engine of 21 liters dm3 which generated more than 200 horses.

Roderick Seibert worked with Gannet Design to find the perfect design that recalls faithfully the car. From the spooked wheels satin blacks Boranni M-Ray with Pirelli Phantom Sport vintage flavor, continuing to the front grille with the number. The colors also recall the FIAT racing car.

The sporting spirit is reflexed in the front fork that comes from Yamaha R1, the radial calipers, the fender, also taken from the R1, and the modified Ohlins twin shocks. A Stack’s (ST200) tachometer with a clean and simple design has been chosen for the instrumentation. The exhaust matt black is a 4 in 2 of MVS Race Engineering. Many parts were custom made by Numbnut Motorcycles directly.

Like other projects of the “Yard Built” family (read: Built Yard Yamaha) Yamaha Yamaha XJR 1300 Botafogo-N was achieved without welding or cutting anything in the frame and are available in kit for those interested.
